FLAIL SHREDDER HFG IV

"These powerful Husmann machines, designated as 'HFG (Husmann Forestry Machines),' achieve uniform, fine and clean shredding thanks to special impact technology and the arrangement of the flails.

The shredded material is fed via a large receiving hopper with a forged steel chain conveyor to the intake roller and further to the flail rotor. The pendulum-mounted intake roller is guided by racks and hydraulically driven with a large reduction gear. The intake roller, which adapts to the fed material, can also be controlled and lifted via remote control. The roller or feed opening of 460 mm guarantees smooth and rapid intake.

The robust rotor, made from high-quality steel (1000 kg), is break-resistant even with heavy foreign objects due to additional reinforcements and advanced engineering. Sixty freely-swinging flails are offset on the eight hardened flail shafts. The quick-change system involves screwing the carbide-equipped flail tips to the flail holder. Due to the large number of 50 mm wide flails and the rotor's direction of rotation over a striking edge to the intake conveyor, optimal shredding and compostability of the material is achieved. The quality of the end product can be further influenced and improved with the load-dependent and steplessly adjustable infeed speed of the scraper floor and intake roller.

The construction of the rotor pan and discharge area allows for the stacking of material up to 2.5 meters high.
The powerful onboard engine with 205 kW is easily accessible through large service doors, making operation and maintenance convenient. Clear control elements and safety features, such as rotor overload protection and a reversing device, are quality features of our system.
The mobile shredding unit is equipped with an 80 km/h chassis and air brakes and can be optionally configured as a stationary unit or with a hooklift frame.
The HFG IV is a composting machine for organic and inorganic waste, designed for mechanical feeding."
