Grimm

The system is designed for the automatic inductive hardening of screws and bolts sized M8 and M10. The installation was built by Grimm Zuführtechnik and is rated for approximately 70-80 parts per minute (depending on the component). It features various monitoring options (temperature, component heights, component types, rotation, etc.).

Components are transferred from a storage belt via a steep conveyor onto a linear sorter, from where they are individually fed into an 8-position indexing table, each station equipped with 2 nests.

A 50 kW high-frequency generator from IDEA is connected, providing additional monitoring functions (energy input, earth fault monitoring, flow rate and water temperature of the inductor, etc.).

The system is equipped with its own quench water tank, from which components are carried out using a magnetic discharge conveyor. The components are then demagnetized.

Filtration of the quenching medium is performed by a cartridge filter. The system and generator are preconfigured for connection to a central cooling system.

Due to the absence of an active cooling system, the machine is only partially operational, but it can be inspected by interested buyers at any time.

The system was built in 2019 and, unfortunately, due to Covid-related order cancellations, it has never been in continuous operation—its condition is as new.
