The GIF kitchen ventilation ceiling is a fully active, wall-to-wall system incorporating large-scale exhaust and supply air zones, integrated lighting, and balancing surfaces, with a low installation height of only 200 mm. Utilizing the ceiling void as a pressure chamber, as specified in VDI 2052, allows for "open" and "closed" system configurations, while always maintaining the maximum possible proportion of technically active ventilated area. This enables extensive capture of frying, cooking, and other fumes, and allows even, low-turbulence supply air intake, ensuring a comfortable environment free from condensation and draughts. The unique modular system provides outstanding transparency and hygiene thanks to a fully reversible design.

On the supply air side, the GIF active cassette ceiling is used for low-turbulence, large-area supply air distribution according to the displacement flow principle. This ensures energy-efficient operation as standard. The special geometry enables indirect supply of even large air volumes at low entry velocities, without induction. Since the active cassettes for both supply and exhaust air are identical in construction, they can be interchanged as needed.
