The PDFD line consists of two primary components: the DFC 60 tenoning and profiling machine (for machining the ends of slats) and the PHSL lengthwise finger jointing press, which joins the elements into slats up to 6.6 m long, with the option to program up to eight intermediate cuts dividing the slat into sections of operator-defined lengths. Between these main machines, there are conveying devices that also serve as preliminary tenoning units. The presented line configuration allows for an output of approx. 8,500–10,500 running meters per shift. The machines have undergone a complete overhaul. One-year warranty.
The microprocessor-based control system enables flexible adjustment of operating parameters to meet user requirements. The machine presented is capable of processing both "calzing" type elements and lamellae for tabletop production (joined with a line joint). The use of a receiving table with automatic slat feeding onto the infeed conveyor of the PHSL press allows the line to be operated by a single employee responsible for loading. The receiving table is equipped with a buffer shield that increases productivity and operational smoothness. The line operates in an automatic cycle with manual material feeding. The individual components of the line can be assembled in different configurations (to be specified with the customer) to adapt the machine to the user's workshop layout.

Wooden slats are loaded onto the first tenoning machine’s cart by the operator. Initiating the milling cycle starts the machine operation. The first milling machine levels the ends of the package, then mills the finger joint profile. The package is then transferred onto the table of the second tenoning machine, where the opposite side is processed and adhesive is applied.
Elements from the DFC-60 tenoner are conveyed via the chain transporter to the preliminary jointing assembly, where a set of rollers and a clamping mechanism perform initial pressing of the finger joints before entry into the press.
The pre-jointed timbers are moved onto the press table, where they are cut to the required length. Using a pusher bar and pressing bar, they are shifted into the press bed area for the pressing process. The glued and pressed, finished slat is then pushed onto the receiving table.
As the timbers are moved into the press bed area, elements are simultaneously being fed onto the press table, ensuring continuous press operation and thus increasing gluing efficiency.
