- Workpiece feeder by KBH, parallel to the machine, currently set up for feeding and unloading shaft-shaped workpieces approx. 16 Ø x 200 mm long with prism conveyor belt and lifting station for 2 shafts (raw/finished part) in the clamping area, as well as with workpiece position control device.
- Originally, the outer gears (Zz = 25), approx. 32 mm Ø x 14 mm long, workpiece Ø approx. 80 x 80 mm long, were rolled on so-called planetary carriers (automotive).
- Various accessories, separate control cabinet, separate hydraulic unit 900 L, coolant system in the machine, control panel with plain-text error messages, etc.
ROTO FLO machines are ideal for series production of smaller gears/profiles and are significantly more economical than gear hobbing.

The workpieces are clamped between centers and profiled by synchronised, counter-rotating rack-type tools. The material is displaced and shaped by the increasing profile height in the rack tool. In the tool’s calibration zone, profile and surface quality are optimized. No run-out of the profile is necessary, as is required with milling or shaping. The machine is characterized by an extremely robust design. The tools can achieve service lives of 25,000 to 100,000 pieces, even for helical gearing.
