Emsil group Narwhal

This is a new machine manufactured in Romania by Emsil.

Customer requirements can be considered and implemented depending on technical feasibility, and are reviewed in advance by the manufacturer's engineering office.

Spindles:
The Narwhal is equipped with a boring spindle made of hardened, tempered, and alloyed steel. It is mounted with preloaded angular precision ball bearings.

Additionally, the machine features a milling and boring bar capable of handling exceptional performance and torque. The bar is made from nitrided, alloyed steel and is also equipped with angular preloaded precision ball bearings. It moves on bronze guide bushings.
The clamping devices of both units, used for fixing and releasing the tool holding taper with ISO 50 coupling, operate automatically to open and close.

Rotary Table:
Table rotation is achieved via a dual pinion gear system, a centrally supported shaft, and a hydrostatic sliding block on the center bearing, all dimensioned for maximum precision—even under heavy or unbalanced loads.
A ball screw drive is used for the X-axes. Both axes are equipped with direct position measurement systems.

CNC Axis Control:
All 9 axes of the machine are continuously monitored. The monitoring system includes a 15'' TFT display, an operator panel, remote diagnostics that alert users in case of faults, user memory, network connectivity, remote process control, integrated PLC, and more.

The machine is compatible with various control systems such as Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Siemens.

You can select the machining envelope for the X/Y and Z axes: from 1200 - 3500 / 1000 - 3500 / 400 - 1500 mm, according to your requirements!
