General description:
CNC hand-input control with program input via function and numeric keypad. All information is entered interactively via screen dialogue. Integrated menu technology and plain-text display of all functions. Operating keypad, screen, and handwheel are housed in a separate chip protection panel.
The EPL control provides the following capabilities:
Programs can be entered and modified directly by the operator via the EPL control without prior manual programming preparation.
NC programs according to ISO/EIA standard can be entered or output via the RS 232 serial interface, or entered manually.
Machining cycles:
Roughing cycles for longitudinal, facing, and contour turning, including allowance. Threading. Undercuts according to DIN 509 Form E and F and DIN 76, including programmable grinding allowance. Axial and radial grooves to DIN 471 and 472, also with bottom finishing. Radii 90° and chamfers 45°. Automatic tool nose radius compensation for cycles, undercuts, grooves, radii, chamfers.
