The refrigerated compressed air dryer is designed to lower the temperature of compressed air and remove water and oil particles contained in the flowing air. Refrigeration dryers are essential in applications where humid air could cause corrosion, contamination, or damage to tools, machines, or products. By eliminating moisture, the dryer increases the reliability and durability of compressed air systems.
The refrigerated dryer is engineered for maximum efficiency and longevity. The main design components include:
1. Air-to-air heat exchanger
In the first stage of the process, inlet air passes through a heat exchanger, where it is pre-cooled by the cooler air exiting the evaporator. Thanks to the use of counter-flow, heat recovery increases the overall energy efficiency of the system.

2. Refrigeration system evaporator
In the second stage, the compressed air enters the evaporator, where it is chilled to a 3°C dew point. This causes condensation of water vapor and oil particles present in the air.
3. Condensate separator
After cooling, the gas and condensate mixture enters an efficient separator, where the condensate is separated and automatically discharged outside the unit.
4. Fan control system
Variable speed fan technology allows the cooling intensity to be intelligently adjusted to actual demand, reducing energy consumption and extending component life.
