The KS 652 is a double-column, semi-automatic band saw designed as the ideal work tool for professionals who need to cut bars, pipes, profiles, and other metal construction components—with the ability to cut at angles up to 60° to the left and right.

Machine Description:

The KS series saws are the only machines in their class that allow cutting both to the left and right—simply set and close the vise. Once the material is in place, the user can set the angle and rotate the saw bow without having to reopen the vise or reposition the bar. The vise moves transversely across the worktable, ensuring quick access.

The cutting frame is constructed from electro-welded tubular steel, guaranteeing high stability during cutting.
Like all IMET saws, the KS model features a high blade tension (2000 kg/cm²) and a 6° canted blade, which improves material feed, reduces loading, and optimizes cutting performance even for large cross-sections and solid materials.

A wide worktable provides full support for the material. The machine is very user-friendly and easy to operate thanks to the automatic stop system covering 0° to 60° left/right and the angle scale on the table that makes positioning easier.

For increased cutting precision, IMET saws are equipped with an angle deviation detection system.

A mechanical material detection system ensures rapid approach to the material by automatically identifying the first point of contact; the end of the cut is managed by a microswitch in the blade guide, ensuring precise blade positioning through hardened rollers and auxiliary bearings.

All working parameters and settings are controlled via an independent, mobile console with LED indicators for blade tension, blade guard, motor overheating, and power check.

The console allows the operator to set the following machine parameters: blade speed, descent speed, and end-of-cycle management (selectable: return of the bow with halted blade, return of the bow with running blade, or end of cycle without bow return).

Cutting performance can be further increased by opting for a 4 kW motor, hydraulic blade tensioner, and a high-tension hydraulic system (2200 kg/cm²).
