CORMAK HBS320

CORMAK HBS320 for double-sided mitre cutting in the range from -45° to +60°. The design of the machine is based on solutions and projects by Polish engineers. Its precision and manufacturing accuracy place it at the forefront of band saws offering cutting widths up to 320 mm. A major advantage of this machine is the latest generation hydraulic cylinder. The machine features a reinforced vise base and quick-release vise function.

Machine features

The CORMAK HBS320 metal band saw allows for cutting material at any angle between -45° and +60°. The material to be cut can be fed manually or using any external feeder. The cut feed is gravity-assisted, controlled by hydraulic oil flow within the cylinder. The operator starts the machine with a start button and sets the desired cutting speed. After the cutting cycle completes, the machine stops automatically and the operator raises the arm to the starting position.

The saw arm is made from a heavy-duty, one-piece grey cast iron casting. Together with a 27 mm wide blade, it is perfectly suited for series cutting of structural, stainless, and tool steels. The vise is set in an adjustable bed and equipped with a quick-release clamp. The blade guides are fitted with ball bearings and carbide inserts, ensuring excellent cutting precision and straightness. This greatly affects blade guidance, durability, accuracy, and cut quality. Carbide guidance significantly reduces machine and blade wear.

The base is a rigid, steel-welded frame. Inside is a separate coolant reservoir with an electric pump. The top of the base is tray-shaped, channeling coolant and collecting chips generated during cutting. Also attached to the base is a robust cast iron worktable with a swiveling arm and control panel.

Feed speed can be regulated from the control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 44 and 88 m/min. In the lowest arm position—after the cut—the blade drive is switched off automatically. Safety is ensured by blade covers and micro-switches that stop the motor when the cutting cycle is complete or any guard is opened. Additional protection involves automatic shutdown if the blade breaks.
