Offered for sale is a semi-moist pet treat production equipment set built around a twin-screw extruder, intended for continuous forming, portioning, and cooling of semi-moist products. The line is dismantled and ready for shipment. It was purchased from a supplier and has not been used in production, but the configuration is equivalent to equipment commonly running in active plants for semi-moist treat manufacturing.

This setup covers the critical steps that typically define semi-moist product quality and handling: stable solids feeding into extrusion, controlled shaping and cutting, and staged cooling to help stabilize texture and reduce sticking/deformation before packing or further processing. The extruder is twin-screw and has been used to produce up to 150 kg/h depending on recipe and configuration. Product shaping is highly flexible and can be adapted to many formats; it is suitable for dental sticks, hearts, bones, sticks, and strip shapes, as well as other geometries depending on the die/forming set and cutter configuration. The configuration line has been used for high meat meal / no-grain semi-moist treats as well as vegetarian-type treats, with the understanding that final output characteristics depend on formulation, moisture targets, and process settings.
Dry base components are supplied via a volumetric/mass-based dosing feeder that feeds directly into the extruder, supporting steadier extrusion and more consistent product geometry. Downstream portioning is done with a rotating knife cutter equipped with special inserts designed to achieve cleaner cutting on semi-moist products. Cut length can start from ~5 mm and can be extended as required; the final achievable range depends on settings and the cutter head used. The cutter head concept is flexible and can be redesigned or adapted to achieve the desired end result and surface finish for different shapes and recipes.
After forming and cutting, product is conveyed through an initial cooling section with a fan/ventilator and then through a conveyor cooler for further stabilization. Cooling is based on ambient forced air, cooling performance is managed through conveyor speed (residence time) and airflow. This two-stage approach is typically beneficial for semi-moist items where surface stabilization and handling robustness are important to avoid clumping, deformation, or marking during transport.
A key differentiator of this set is the mixing head attachment at the end of the extruder, which can support improved mixing/temperature management and enables production of two-colour treats (application dependent). The sale also includes the liquid handling package used in semi-moist processing—pumps and tanks for typical liquids such as water, fats/oils, glycerol, and similar process liquids. Importantly, the liquid handling components are stainless steel, consistent with hygienic production expectations.
