Heating Element Welding Machine HP60/40 by BRANSON
The drive system is hydraulic, supported by positioning and control systems.
The machine is equipped with its own vacuum pump.
Very few operating hours (approx. 6,800 hours).
Usable heating element surface: width 600mm x depth 400mm
Max. part dimensions:
- Max. part width: 620 mm
- Max. part depth: 420 mm
- Max. part height, top: 350 mm
- Max. part height, bottom: 350 mm
(combinations of part heights possible, depending on contour)
- Max. operating temperature for contact process = 400°C
The modular frame construction of the machine enables easy conversion work.
The side doors and the front door in the welding area can be easily opened (for uncomplicated changeover work).
The automatic safety lift door provides a high level of operator safety.
The temperature controllers on the control panel feature actual/target value displays.
The operator terminal is a Siemens PLC control panel.
Machine control is managed by a Siemens PLC (S7-300 controller).
The heating elements are equipped with temperature sensors for temperature regulation and also serve for safety shutoff in case of overheating.
The pin systems on the tool mounting surfaces enable reproducible positioning.
Advantages of the heating element welding technology:
- Safe welding of workpieces with thin or varying wall thicknesses is possible.
- Low reject rate due to precise and reproducible weld joints.
- Even sensitive parts can be welded thanks to accurate time, temperature, and force control.
- Nearly all thermoplastics can be welded using this process.
- Different types of plastics can be welded together (compatibility must be checked).
