From federal stock, we can offer you this very well-maintained "Vitek 2 XL" system by the world-renowned brand BioMérieux, from first hand ownership.

As a fully automated system for the rapid identification of pathogens and antibiotic resistance, the Vitek2 system is now indispensable in virtually every medical laboratory worldwide!

The system was purchased by the federal government in 11/2013 and has been regularly inspected and serviced according to a maintenance contract—the last inspection and service took place until 08/2023. At the end of 2022, the device was decommissioned in working order due to new equipment procurement.

All components are in excellent optical and technical condition, with no significant damage—minor scratches and discoloration of the housing are due to normal operational use and do not affect functionality in any way.

Description:

The VITEK 2 system provides everything healthcare laboratories need for fast and precise microbial identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing.

The system is used for microbiological identification of pathogens of animal origin. It enables rapid and accurate antibiotic susceptibility testing as well as detection of resistance. The automated system performs susceptibility tests on the same day (with results in just 5 hours, based on clinical study data). This significantly streamlines workflow in veterinary laboratories and optimizes clinical veterinary microbiology.
The VITEK 2 system offers an extensive range of key susceptibility tests for veterinary diagnostics, characterized by high performance and the ability to detect even low-level resistances and novel resistance mechanisms (AmpC, ESBL, MBL, etc.).
The software is updated annually to implement any taxonomic developments or guideline changes.
The VITEK 2 disposable cards are sealed to prevent contamination during the insertion of the bacterial suspension.
