1.3 Headstock
The spindle collet diameter in the headstock is 240 mm. The spindle’s faceplate has a diameter of 620 mm. The chuck jaws are hydraulically adjustable between 80 and 620 mm. Both concentric and offset adjustment are possible.
The faceplate speed is variable between 5 and 500 rpm.
Speed range 1: 5 to 143 rpm
Speed range 2: 17 to 500 rpm
Speed range overlap: Range 1 goes up to 120 rpm, range 2 starts at 80 rpm.
By switching from turning to milling mode, the faceplate becomes the C axis and thus features speeds from 0.01 to 2.5 rpm.

1.4 Tailstock
The tailstock features a quill with a diameter of 200 mm and a travel of 300 mm.

The tailstock quill can be moved manually via a push button or automatically via M-functions.
Compensation for workpiece thermal expansion is enabled by the quill and is activated with M50.
The tailstock travels on a motorized slide, which can be moved either via push button or automatically by programming function M55 H.... Clamping of both the tailstock slide and the quill is automatic.
