Compact, highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) plant equipped with a state-of-the-art SCANIA V8-cylinder lean-burn turbocharged 4-stroke gas Otto engine. The genset, gas pressure regulating section, gas–air and engine-water cooling circuit are all mounted on a base frame for both power and heat generation. It features a high-quality synchronous generator (3-phase, 400V, 50Hz) suitable for grid-parallel operation, with optimized heat extraction via a plate heat exchanger for heating/process water at a temperature level of flow 85°C / return 70°C.
OPTIONAL: Equipped with a catalytic converter (optional SCR system) for low-emission operation, compliant with MCP Directive (EU) and 44th BImSchV (Germany).

The CHP features a control cabinet with a display for visualizing all relevant operating parameters, including a DSL modem for remote maintenance and external monitoring, as well as an interface for grid balancing energy to connect with the Energy Pilot E2M. The scope of delivery includes a grid starter for providing optimal starting speed, as well as a gas detector, smoke detector, emergency stop switch, and alarm beacon/horn.
All piping is made of stainless steel (V2A) and insulated as necessary.
To ensure engine preheating, installed heat pumps are programmed to operate in a defined cycle, enabling the desired thermal standby mode.
An automatic gas shut-off valve for installation outside the CHP installation room is not included in the delivery.

The CHP meets the medium-voltage directive VDE-AR-N 4110:2018-11.

Optionally, the CHP can also be delivered in a containerised version.

The entire genset is also available as a natural gas variant.
