Compact, highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) plant equipped with a state-of-the-art SCANIA 6-cylinder, lean-burn turbocharged, 4-stroke gas Otto engine. The unit, gas pressure regulation line, gas/air mixture and engine cooling circuits are mounted on a base frame for electricity and heat generation. It features a high-quality synchronous generator (3-phase, 400V, 50Hz) for grid-parallel operation and optimized heat extraction via a plate heat exchanger for heating/process water, with a temperature range of 90°C supply / 75°C return. The system includes a catalytic converter (optional SCR system) for low-emission operation compliant with MCP Directive (EU) and German 44th BImSchV.

The CHP unit is equipped with a control cabinet featuring a display for visualization of all relevant operating parameters, including a DSL modem for remote maintenance and external monitoring, as well as an interface for control energy to connect to the E2M Energy Pilot. The scope of supply includes a grid starter to provide the optimal starting speed, as well as a gas detector, smoke detector, emergency stop switch, and alarm beacon/horn. All piping is made from V2A stainless steel and insulated where necessary.

The CHP complies with the Medium Voltage Directive VDE-AR-N 4110:2018-11.

An automatic gas shut-off valve for installation outside the CHP room, as well as all operating fluids, are not included in the delivery.

The CHP unit is also available as a containerized system upon request.
