Zigzag Air Separators
Application Description:
The ZIGZAG type air separator is a machine designed for cleaning materials in recycling processes. The separator pneumatically separates light fractions from heavy ones. It is suitable for a wide range of waste materials sized 0-150 mm. This type of air separator is used for pre-shredded, shredded, or very fine materials. Thanks to our unique design, the separator provides multi-point adjustment at critical locations to ensure high purity of recovered fractions.

ZIGZAG separators are utilized in various fields:
- Weight-based classification of metal granulates
- Cleaning shredded scrap from light fractions (films, plastics, paper)
- Removal of floating/light fractions during WEEE recycling
- Cleaning plastics and rubber
- Cleaning municipal waste and glass
- Dust removal

Construction Description:
The ZIGZAG separator consists of several components mounted on a common support frame. The first section features the ZIGZAG module, equipped with an inspection hatch and adjustable feed gap for material flow. The second section houses the cyclone, which extracts the light fraction. Beneath the cyclone is a variable-speed rotary airlock for discharging the separated materials. At the top of the assembly, there is a fan with electronic speed control. The design is partially adapted for belt conveyor loading and unloading. The separator is fitted with a control cabinet with a safety system.
