ZERMA ZTS

General:
The single-shaft shredders of the ZTS/ZTTS series have been specifically developed for the size reduction of whole or pre-shredded tires. Both the ZTS and ZTTS shredders feature a large rotor diameter of 760 mm and working widths ranging from 1500 to 3000 mm. Both types are equipped with oversized, externally mounted bearings as well as dual drives. The tangential infeed ensures optimal feeding of the input material without the need for additional hydraulic pusher systems. All tire shredders are fitted with special wear protection in all critical machine areas. The ZTS and ZTTS models differ in the number of stator knife rows and the type of installed screen perforation.

Applications:
Machines of the ZTS series are equipped with a single stator knife row and are therefore used for the primary stage in the pre-shredding of car tires or other large, solid parts to achieve a final particle size of approximately 150 mm. For the secondary stage, a ZTTS shredder is used to further reduce the material to approximately 20 mm. The sophisticated machine design, combined with the adjustable knife gap, allows for optimal separation of rubber and steel fractions. In an additional process stage, the steel components can be separated using a powerful magnetic separator.
