ZERMA GSH

The ZERMA GSH series granulators are extremely robust machines designed for the toughest demands and tailored to the versatile requirements of modern recycling operations.

The housings, constructed from heavy-duty steel with welded fabrication, are capable of withstanding exceptional loads. The bearings, knife mounts, and rotor shafts are significantly oversized, making them extremely durable. With simple conversion, both solid lumps and thick-walled pipes as well as hollow bodies and films can be efficiently processed.

Depending on the specific application (including temperature-sensitive materials), various rotor designs are available, all featuring one key advantage: superior and modern V-cut technology.

All machines in the GSH series consistently deliver high-quality regrind—whether processing bottle crates, profiles, sheets, films, start-up lumps, or pipes. They are economical, highly reliable, easy to clean, and offer long service life.

Paired with ZERMA’s comprehensive range of options, accessories (such as extraction systems, conveyor belts, metal detectors, fines separators, roller feed systems, etc.), and spare parts, a custom-optimized shredding system can be created. The benefits include considerably reduced costs, time, and staffing requirements.

Thoughtful housing design
The housing is centrally split at an incline, and the upper part with feed hopper can be hydraulically opened, giving full access to the rotor for knife changes and cleaning. The screen insert is also held in a hydraulically swiveling basket, ensuring optimal accessibility for screen removal and installation. The screen insert is reversible.

Robust external bearing arrangement
Another well-considered design aspect is the external bearing arrangement. Heavy-duty rolling bearings housed in steel casings ensure long service life and are ideal for extreme loads. The external bearing setup prevents grease ingress into the cutting chamber and also stops processed material or fines from entering the bearing. This provides a significant advantage, especially when operating the machine in wet conditions.

Flywheel
To compensate for shock loads during granulation, an optional flywheel is available. The rotors are equipped as standard with a second shaft end to accommodate this.

High operational safety
All granulators comply with the EU Machinery Directive and carry the CE mark. Operational safety features include, for example, run-down interlocks with limit switches and hydraulically unlockable check valves.
