Carl Zeiss Axiovert 40C Inverted Light Microscope

The Carl Zeiss Axiovert 40C is an inverted routine microscope specifically designed for the examination of living cells and cell cultures in biology and medicine. Its inverted design places the objectives beneath the stage, allowing observation in larger culture vessels such as Petri dishes or microtiter plates.

Technical Features
Optics: Equipped with ZEISS’s ICS system (Infinity Color-corrected System) for high optical performance with all contrast methods.

Illumination: Standard configuration includes a 12 V 35 W halogen lamp for transmitted light. Optionally, an HBO 50 mercury vapor lamp is available for fluorescence applications (CFL model).

Camera Connection: The Axiovert 40C model features a built-in photo port (C-mount adapter) on the front for digital documentation.
