This type of air separator is used for pre-shredded, shredded, or very fine materials. Thanks to our unique design, the separator provides multi-point adjustment at critical locations to ensure high purity of recovered fractions. The ZRS series is specifically designed for the size reduction of pipes with diameters up to 1,300 mm made from various materials such as PE, PP, and PVC. These machines are capable of directly shredding plastic pipes up to 9 metres in length without the need for pre-cutting or sawing. At the core are rotors with diameters up to 1,500 mm, which can be equipped with up to 206 cutting crowns and gently shred the material at low rotational speeds. The pre-shredded material is then conveyed by the shredder via a conveyor belt to a granulator. The granulator further processes the material into directly re-usable regrind. Additional advantages of the system include low energy consumption, avoidance of power peaks, and minimised risk of accidents during pre-shredding.
