Voortman V600

Voortman V600 drilling system for profiles and flat steel with traversable drilling unit.

The CNC-controlled drilling unit is traversable in the longitudinal direction, with adjustment and measurement ranging from 0 to 18,300 mm. The maximum processing length for a steel profile is 15,000 mm. Tool changes for the HSS coolant channel drills are performed using a manual quick-change chuck. Workpiece clamping is achieved via a vertical hydraulic hold-down, which secures the component (profile or flat steel) at the pre-positioned location for drilling.

As part of the drilling unit, features such as web and flange height measurement, automatic electronic stepless feed, and speed control (continuous monitoring) are in use, enabling optimal machining. Adjustment is carried out by a frequency-controlled spindle drive, and the creation of center punch marks is possible.

Voortman Control System:

VACON 110, IBM-compatible PC Pentium 233MHz with VGA/TFT graphics card. CAD data for profile machining can be imported via USB stick as DSTV or NC files, and can also be manually entered via the machine’s control panel. The machine operates on Windows 98 DOS.
