The Filter System

The mobile filter unit type StrongMaster IFA is particularly suitable for welding operations with unalloyed and alloyed steels, galvanized materials, and aluminum where heavy fume generation is present. It complies with safety requirements for devices in welding fume class "W3" (high-alloyed steels with alloying elements >30% based on nickel). When used as intended, the system can be operated in recirculation mode, since the conditions for exemptions as per TRGS 560 are met. The filter is cleaned from the clean air side via a maintenance door using a compressed air gun. Filtered particles collect in a dust drawer for subsequent disposal. The powerful screw fan ensures a high airflow even when filter cartridges are saturated.

The Filter Media

An impact plate serves as a pre-separator for coarse particles. The subsequent filter cartridge (dust class M, separation efficiency >99%) filters even the finest fumes and dust particles. The cartridge is factory-coated to increase service life.

The Extraction Arm

The extraction arm can be easily positioned thanks to the 3 internally mounted, spring-assisted joints and remains self-supporting in the set position. A throttle valve integrated into the extraction hood allows adjustment of the airflow volume.
