Application: Suitable for pagination and processing of short print runs and single books (“books of one”) with varying sizes, page counts, and covers.

Line configuration:
1. Roll-fed input: unwinder, merger, Dupla cutter, and book assembly station for the production of book blocks from 2-up prints.
2. Sheet feeder: A variable number of loose sheets can be added as inserts to the book block. The sheets must be the same size and print run as the book block to be processed.
3. Feed to binding machine: Station for manual feeding of pre-assembled book blocks, transfer via reading station, book turner module, and loading robot at the binding machine.
4. Variable binding machine for the production of books with softcover. The binding machine is equipped with PUR application on the book spine and hot melt glue on the book sides.
5. Softcover cover machine, configured with cover sheet feeder: Pre-printed cover sheets are fed in, trimmed at the front, side trimmed and creased to the correct size to match the thickness of the respective book block.
6. Cooling tower/cooling conveyor (specific to product) not included in delivery
Can be ordered as per customer requirements (product type). The cooling conveyor can be configured to suit spatial conditions and requirements at the machine’s installation location. The price of the conveyor depends on its configuration. We will be happy to advise you in selecting the appropriate conveyor.
7. Variable three-knife trimmer, suitable for trimming books of varying three-dimensional sizes with different cover types.

The entire process is controlled via 2D Datamatrix codes. Via the code, the system receives clearance for the following automatic settings and workflow management:
• Information about book dimensions and inserts (quantity and sequence)
• Setup of the binding machine (spine position, thickness, and length)
• Cover preparation: softcover → creasing, trimming, edge trimming
• Correct book-to-cover assignment
• Three-knife trimmer (knife positions are set automatically to book dimensions)

Very good condition // Dismantling, packaging of the machine, and securing (insurance of the machine during transport) will be carried out by the manufacturer / Tecnau.
