The sterilizer is intended for steam sterilization of a wide range of materials, such as laboratory glassware, infusion fluids, culture media and microbiological samples, medical instruments, surgical linens, dressing materials, rubber products, as well as metal and plastic containers. It is primarily used in laboratories, hospitals, clinics, surgeries, and pharmacies.

The autoclave was operated until March 31, 2026, in the microbiology laboratory of the Silesian Library, where it served as a 'clean' device for sterilizing minor laboratory equipment—on average once a week. It was dismantled in working order and remains in good technical condition. The device has valid UDT inspection certificates, and it comes with full manufacturer documentation as well as a protocol from the latest inspection, confirming the validity of the internal revision and pressure test.
