WHO CAN RECEIVE FUNDING?
The German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) provides subsidies for investment measures aimed at energy optimization in systems and processes.

WHAT IS FUNDED?
Investments that demonstrably contribute to saving energy and thus reducing CO2 emissions are eligible for subsidies. For example, if you wish to replace step-switched welding machines with high energy consumption with efficient REHM welding technology, you can apply for Module 4 funding. The costs for designing the energy-saving concept and implementation support by an external energy consultant are also eligible. The overall payback period for the measure must be more than 2 years.

HOW MUCH FUNDING IS AVAILABLE?
Up to:
- 40% of the costs
- €900 per saved ton of CO2
- €10 million maximum
BAFA supports large enterprises with up to 30% subsidy (maximum €500 per saved ton of CO2) and small and medium-sized enterprises with up to 40% subsidy (maximum €900 per saved ton of CO2) of eligible costs. The maximum subsidy per investment project is €10 million.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Private and municipal companies with a registered office or branch in Germany are eligible to apply. Planned measures must take place within the Federal Republic of Germany. The mandatory energy-saving concept must be prepared by an energy consultant approved by BAFA.

HOW DO YOU APPLY FOR FUNDING?
01. Listing: Create a list of all devices that are to be replaced and all new devices to be purchased.
02. Review: We record the necessary data and provide a preliminary subsidy assessment. At the same time, we prepare a quotation for the new welding machines.
03. Energy Consultant: We compile all necessary data for you and forward it to an energy consultant we work with. This saves you time and costs.
04. Application: After data review, the energy consultant submits the subsidy application on your behalf.
05. Processing Time: If necessary, we can expedite the processing for you, reducing the standard review period to approx. 10 to 15 days.
