Innovative band filter technology for maximum process reliability
The RESY KBF Compact Band Filter System represents a pioneering advancement in the field of automatic band filter installations.
A key advantage:
There is no relative movement between the support belt, filter fleece, disc wheels, and sludge scrapers. As a result, the filter fleece is not damaged, even when handling large volumes of chips or contaminant particles.
Compared to conventional flat-bed filters, the compact band filter offers:
- Up to 80% space savings
- Higher degree of purity
- Consistent filtration performance
- Reduced maintenance intervals
- Maximum process stability
Operating principle of the compact band filter
A stable, endless metal link belt is guided in a half-shell shape over two rotating disc wheels and driven by a geared motor. The filter fleece runs between the belt and the wheels.
The contaminated medium is introduced directly through a central inlet pipe into the completely sealed filtration tank. In the calm zone, solid particles settle and form a filter cake.
This filter cake acts as an additional natural filtration layer, continuously improving separation performance.
As contamination increases, the liquid level rises—depending on the model, by up to 500 mm. When a preset maximum value is reached, the system automatically feeds fresh filter fleece without interrupting the filtration process.
At the same time, the following are reliably removed:
- Used fleece
- Sludge
- Chips

An integrated sensor continuously monitors the diameter of the fleece roll, providing timely notification for roll replacement.
The entire filtration process runs fully automatic and energy-efficiently.
