Automatic Feed Control AD 5
FSM-Series models are equipped with the AD 5 automatic feed control system. Various grinding cycles are available: surface grinding with infeed at the starting point, slot grinding with infeed at the starting point, and slot grinding with infeed at both the starting and end points. The grinding wheel infeed can be adjusted individually according to the workpiece. The total infeed for grinding can be divided into coarse and fine increments, with freely programmable step sizes down to as little as 0.001 mm depending on the application. It is possible to program dwell passes after a preset number of infeed steps as well as spark-out cycles after reaching the grinding dimension, ensuring optimal grinding results.
