This foulard-dryer combination has proven itself excellently in practical operation. This type of unit is used for various hot air treatment processes such as drying, fixing, condensing, thermosoling, etc. The system is applied wherever a certain sample size is already required, for example, for producing sample collections or similar items.
Dryer THA
If it is required that the foulard and dryer, in addition to continuous operation, can also be used separately, the THA type dryer should be selected. This unit is equipped with an unwinding device at the dryer’s entrance and a draw-off mechanism at its exit. This component determines the fabric speed in single-unit operation. This offers the advantage of being able to operate the foulard and dryer independently and simultaneously. For drying, fixing, condensing, etc., the material is placed in the dryer.
If all of the aforementioned application options need to be ensured and the use of pin frames is also desired during single-unit dryer operation, the THN version is preferable. The standard pin frames are suitable for sample sizes up to a maximum of 50 x 50 cm (larger pin frames available on request). Options include length-adjustable frames for woven fabrics, length- and width-adjustable material holders for knitted and warp-knitted fabrics, nonwovens, etc., as well as clamping frames for films and paper.
Drying Chamber
The drying chamber, together with the electrical control cabinet and control panel, is mounted on a base frame and bolted together to form a single unit.
Optimal thermal insulation of the dryer is ensured by a double-walled design with intermediate insulation. The nozzle field with a length of 1,300 mm is divided into an upper and lower nozzle section. An adjustable damper allows even ventilation from above and below or more air to be directed from either the top or bottom.
Fan and Heating
Intensive air circulation is ensured by a high-performance fan (capacity approx. 900-3,500 m³/h) combined with well-calibrated heating power, resulting in optimum evaporation performance.
A double safety monitoring system reduces maintenance requirements and increases the operational safety of the dryer. The heating capacity is designed for rapid heating and is automatically reduced upon reaching the desired temperature to prevent unnecessary power surges.
Temperature control is managed via an electronic measuring and regulating device, with a range of 20–250 °C.
Fresh air is supplied directly to the circulating fan by means of a separate fan. The desired amount can be set via a multi-stage switch.
