1. MAIR PACKING MACHINE, model MPS RH150/D/4/SL

The MPS RH150/D/4/SL Pat. model automatically packs round tubes into hexagonal bundles. The machine enables automatic strapping operations at a fixed position, with the bundle moving laterally and stopping automatically at the programmed strapping positions.

It consists of:

- Four-tube chain conveyors with supporting teeth and intermittent movement for lifting one tube at a time from the threading machine to the alignment area.
- A powered roller to align the tube against an adjustable end stop before row formation.
- Two tube row storage areas, required during the evacuation cycle of the bundle.
- A robust welded structural steel frame forming a bridge structure.
- A tube row handling system that picks up one row of tubes at a time from the second row storage and places it onto the bundle forming supports.
- Row handling is carried out by a series of electromagnets performing a rotary movement during the row transfer cycle.
- Four powered vertical supports for the formation and clamping of bundles, equipped with adjustable blades according to the required bundle size and shape; these are lowered to allow the bundle to be deposited onto the evacuation carriage.
- Powered evacuation carriage sliding on floor-mounted rails, equipped with driven lower rollers and pairs of free vertical retention rollers.
- Motorised flat conveyor for transporting the bundle after the strapping zone.
- Powered storage chains suitable for bringing bundles together to the selected quantity.
- Drain station for lifting the bundle, allowing coolant to exit the tubes; equipped with two hydraulic devices powered by a hydraulic power unit.
- Control cabinet.

2. SIGNODE AUTOMATIC STRAPPING STATION, model M400

The formed bundle is automatically transferred by the evacuation carriage's powered rollers to the automatic system.

It stops at the programmed strapping positions to allow the automatic application of the steel straps.

It consists of:

- SIGNODE automatic strapping machine model M400/PA/TSM for vertical strapping
- Floating pneumatic strapping head for 32 mm (1¼”) wide and 0.9 mm thick steel strap
- 450 kg strap dispenser with electric reel
- Control panel

3. WEIGHING STATION, model KG8/DY

The station weighs the tube bundles using load cells. Powered storage chains transfer the bundles to the weighing position. The weighing station is located beneath pneumatic lifting devices that lift the bundle to allow the weighing operation.

It consists of:

- Lower frame for floor installation, complete with four brackets, fasteners, and load cells
- Upper holding frame, capable of receiving the bundle lifting devices
- Compact weight transmitter
