Immersion coolers are designed for cooling water, oil, and emulsions. These plug-and-play immersion coolers are ready for installation and can be integrated into various machine layouts.

A stirrer ensures a consistent medium temperature in the Gamma immersion cooler model. Easy cleaning is possible thanks to lifting eyes on the cooling unit.

The models of the HYFRA Gamma series are designed as immersion coolers for cooling water, oil, and emulsions. The plug-and-play immersion coolers are installation-ready and can be used with a footprint of just 0.5 m². This makes them ideal for integration into various machine configurations.

Outputs of up to 28 kW are possible with the compact design on just 0.5 m² of floor space. This provides considerable flexibility advantages in production layout planning and leads to a significant increase in productivity, as more production machines can be accommodated. In the compact models of our immersion coolers, the condenser is installed horizontally. This design significantly reduces waste heat. Internal components thus remain unaffected by thermal emissions.

A robust agitator ensures uniform medium temperature in the lubricant tank for all immersion cooler models in this series. For periodic cleaning, the HYFRA Gamma series can easily be lifted from the tank using fixed crane lugs.

How does an immersion cooler work?

In immersion coolers, the evaporator of the chiller is immersed directly into the cooling medium. The liquid is contained in a tank and is continuously and vigorously agitated to promote efficient cooling. Powerful agitators assist this process.

What are immersion coolers used for?

Immersion coolers are commonly used for temperature control of cooling lubricants in filtration and mechanical engineering, ensuring the reliable operation of associated equipment. They are also used in metalworking, providing indirect cooling of tools and workpieces, such as during milling and grinding operations with CNC or conventional machine tools.

Immersion coolers with advanced controls and comprehensive features

Depending on the cooling capacity, HYFRA Gamma immersion coolers feature either FreeSmart or FreeAdvanced controllers. The combination of the FreeAdvanced controller and a touch panel provides a structured overview and clear display of all relevant parameters. Both freely programmable controllers are equipped with several digital and analog inputs and outputs. The FreeAdvanced controller additionally features a full-text display and supports Modbus-TCP.
