The compressed air blasting machines of the SBM series are mobile units designed for advanced surface treatment by means of a compressed air stream and abrasive media. The advantageous conical bottom design facilitates media movement, while the option to fit different valve types enables the use of abrasives of any kind, shape—spherical, rounded and/or angular—and any grit size.

SBM series blast machines achieve surface finishes up to SA-3/SP5 class and a throughput of up to 106 m²/h. SBM series sandblasters feature large claw couplings for fast, secure connections with high air flow rates. Media loading is via a pneumatically operated rubber membrane—eliminating inefficient threaded fittings—making SBM series blast machines safer and easier to operate. The blasting unit is also equipped with a large inspection valve for rapid tank emptying and the option of internal inspection. SBM series units allow simultaneous operation with one or two blast nozzles (depending on model).

Blaster control (available with pneumatic or electric actuation) is intuitive and precise, with the control handle positioned at the end of the working hose for maximum efficiency. A major advantage of this setup is that the operator performing blasting can immediately interrupt machine operation, in compliance with the latest health and safety regulations (solution available as optional extra).

The SBM blast vessel has been designed and manufactured in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU, based on and under the supervision of a notified body approved design and is CE-marked.
