Aprašymas
THE classic with historic registration!
_____
Secure yourself one of the most beautiful Jaguar Mark V Drophead Coupés currently available on the market!
The Mark V model is rightly considered one of the most attractive convertibles of the 40s / 50s, and ranks alongside the most exclusive vehicles of its era. It was only built from 1948 to 1951 and in very limited numbers.
Only 971 of these outstanding cars were produced, of which just 577 were left-hand drive – worldwide, at most 50-80 left-hand drive examples are still even remotely preserved…
How many of these gems have actually survived to this day is uncertain; this vehicle is virtually unobtainable throughout Europe! A significant increase in value is therefore guaranteed; even in the USA, only a handful remain on the market.
The car was exported to the USA after production in 1950, and was registered only once in California. In the early 1990s, it was brought back to Europe.
There, it underwent a thorough, meticulous, multi-year nut-and-bolt restoration, during which every effort was made, regardless of cost, to restore the vehicle to true top condition, both visually and technically.
The Jaguar was completely stripped, and both bodywork, interior, and electrical systems were overhauled or replaced with original spare parts. As part of these works, a complete respray inside and out was carried out, changing the color from lavender grey to black, also an original Jaguar shade, which suits the car much better. The seats were reupholstered in new red leather, the carpets were completely renewed, and all woodwork refurbished.

In 2012 / 2013, the technical components were extensively overhauled again: the drivetrain was fully rebuilt and various wear parts replaced. All works required for the historic registration (H-Zulassung) were performed, which was granted in 2013. During this period alone, work totaling over €18,000 was undertaken; all invoices are available.
All trim and add-on parts of the car are in excellent condition, and all functions operate flawlessly. The vehicle is completely rust-free and was thoroughly protected against corrosion during the restoration. After restoration, the car was stored in an enclosed hall and, since then, has only covered 290 miles in total during periodic exercise runs and technical inspections (TÜV).
Naturally, all documentation is supplied, along with extensive photographic records of the restoration work carried out. An up-to-date appraisal is included, as well as the original registration documents and a birth certificate from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.
Also included is a detailed Classic Data appraisal from TÜV Süd, valuing the vehicle at €135,000 with an overall condition grade 1!
Currently, comparable vehicles are already being offered on Car & Classic for up to £160,000!!!
