The INDEX ABC is a compact CNC lathe for short-turned parts made from bar stock.

It features a slant-bed design with two independent turrets.

The upper turret is mainly designated for internal machining and cut-off-side operations, while the lower turret handles external machining.

This turret configuration allows for collision-free operation and simple programming with high tool availability.

The large open working area promotes optimal chip flow.

Working area features two turrets:

"Turret 1":
- Disc turret with 7 radially arranged tool positions Ø 25 mm DIN 69880 and one position for the reinforced synchronized spindle at turret station 8. With an adapter, tools with 1'' shanks may also be used. The turret head is prepared for the V-guide system.

- Synchronized spindle for backworking, allowing simultaneous parallel machining with the main spindle. Collet chuck Ø42 or 3-jaw gripper chuck for internal and external clamping. Jaw stroke 0.6 mm. Clamping diameter (external) 75 mm.

- Back-drilling unit.
Starting from the center of the working spindle in a clockwise direction, three stationary back drilling tools are arranged. These are located on the pitch circle of the synchronized spindle. Backworking takes place simultaneously to main spindle machining. Two additional tools can also be mounted and may be fitted with driven tool units.

"Turret 2":
- Turret with 6 symmetric dovetail tool holders, each station equipped with two mounting bores for cylindrical shank tools.

The following tool systems can be used:
- Stationary tools moveable in the Z-direction
- Driven tools with Ø25 mm cylindrical shank (two positions per station can be equipped)

- Including bar feeder LM 3200 -
+ various accessories (various diameter guide bushings/tool holders)
