For hobbing cylindrical and worm gears as well as all other hob-capable profiles and shapes regularly occurring on cylindrical workpiece surfaces.

Large hobbing machines from Gleason deliver maximum productivity for roughing and finishing operations on cylindrical gears for numerous industries: wind power plants, industrial gear units, mining and shipbuilding, gear manufacturing, and more.

The machine's drive power range is designed to accommodate future tool developments. The gear hobbing head drive is, of course, backlash-free. These machines are particularly well-suited for the use of state-of-the-art cutting tool materials, regardless of whether dry or wet machining is preferred.

The machine can be used for both dry and wet machining and is equipped with the corresponding chip conveyor for both operating modes.

The machine is fitted with an internal profile milling head as a motor-driven milling head.
