The quality of the INDUSTRIE 230 HD models becomes apparent as soon as you switch them on: Barely audible drive noise. No vibrations even at high cutting depths. Indeed, with weights of 2,635, 2,835, and 3,055 kg, the 230 HD models are the heaviest in their class, and thanks to their extremely robust construction—e.g., high-frequency hardened prism ways—they are perfectly suited for heavy-duty and continuous operation.

The 230 HD offers an extra-large spindle bore of 80 mm for machining bar stock up to 2 1/2 inches (76.1 mm) in diameter. Machining dimensions over the carriage of Ø 290 x 1,000, 1,500, or 2,000 mm and a maximum turning diameter of 460 or 700 mm leave little to be desired for mechanical engineering, steel construction, plant engineering, and toolmaking. This is complemented by 12 spindle speeds, 170 longitudinal and cross feeds, and 150 leadscrew pitches for metric and imperial threads.
