The new Onyx CNC cutting system is the culmination of over 25 years of cutting experience. It integrates state-of-the-art components and a robust mechanical design, tailored for demanding users who place a premium on exceptional ergonomic operation. The machine gantry has been modified to deliver increased rigidity and temperature resistance, thereby ensuring maximum reliability and cutting precision even with material thicknesses up to 300 mm.

The Onyx features a specially developed safety concept, offering significant advantages not only for machine operators but also for personnel working in close proximity. Innovative solutions have likewise been introduced regarding operational ease and process monitoring.

• The Vortex 3D FL cutting head guarantees top precision for automatic 3D plasma cutting of sheets, pipes, and profiles
• A stiffer bridge enables dynamic cutting of plates from 1 mm up to 300 mm thick
• A modern i-Vision controller, mounted on an articulated arm, provides uniquely ergonomic and comfortable operation and process monitoring
• Modified drive system for even more precise X-axis positioning during dynamic cutting
• Power LED lighting and light barriers ensure safe operation
• Optimal results are delivered thanks to an extensive library of pre-defined plasma and oxy-fuel cutting parameters for a wide range of applications
• Machine-integrated components offer enhanced protection against external influences during cutting and extend system longevity
• For superior cutting results, the ONYX is certified with Hypertherm® True Hole™ and can also be equipped with Kjellberg® Contour Cut™ technology
