Construction and Technology

At the heart of the CORMAK TORNADO 460x1000 lathe is a massive, precisely machined cast iron bed that guarantees stability under all conditions. The spindle with D1-8 nose, mounted on a reinforced bearing system, provides high rigidity and smooth operation at speeds from 25 to 2000 rpm. Thanks to the use of hardened and ground gears, the spindle gearbox boasts exceptional durability and quiet operation.

Precision and Work Efficiency

The built-in digital position readout on the X and Z axes allows for precise tool positioning, ensuring high repeatability of the process. A quick-feed joystick simplifies carriage movements and reduces setup and shutdown times. With the thread dial indicator, the operator can easily align the carriage at the proper time without recalculating thread leads.
