The refrigerated compressed air dryer is designed to reduce the temperature of compressed air and remove water and oil particles contained in the flowing air. Refrigerated dryers are essential in applications where moist air could cause corrosion, contamination, or damage to tools, machinery, or products. By removing moisture, the dryer increases the reliability and durability of compressed air systems.
The refrigerated dryer is engineered for maximum efficiency and longevity. The main construction elements include:
1. Air-to-air heat exchanger
In the initial stage of the process, the inlet air passes through the heat exchanger, where it is pre-cooled by the colder air exiting the evaporator. Thanks to the use of counterflow, heat recovery enhances the overall energy efficiency of the system.
2. Refrigeration system evaporator
In the second stage, the compressed air enters the evaporator, where it is cooled down to a pressure dew point of 3°C. This causes the water vapor and oil particles it contains to condense.
3. Condensate separator
After cooling, the gas and condensate mixture enters an efficient separator, where the condensate is separated and automatically discharged from the unit.
4. Fan control system
The variable-speed fan technology allows intelligent adjustment of cooling intensity according to actual demand, reducing energy consumption and increasing component service life.
