Condition of the machine:
The feed hopper with bag opener was previously used in a large recycling plant, where recyclables from yellow bags or commercial waste were tipped into the hopper using wheel loaders, the bags were opened by the bag opener, and the recyclables were conveyed in a metered way to a sorting plant, or commercial waste was fed for further processing. The unit functioned flawlessly until it was dismantled and was replaced by a larger system with a higher throughput. The machine was dismantled in our workshop into individual components, partially overhauled, reassembled, and tested in operation.

The following refurbishment work was carried out and the following parts replaced:
- Disassembly of the feed hopper and bag opener into individual parts. Cleaning, partial sandblasting, priming, and painting of steel components.
- Various wear and cover plates were newly manufactured and installed.
- Removal of worn ends (approx. 40 cm) of the moving floor pipes. Welding of new pipes and smoothing the moving floor pipes.
- Replacement of all sliding plastic panels for the hydraulic moving floor.
- Removal of the hydraulic unit from the moving floor, complete draining of the hydraulic oil tank, replacement of oil filters, refill with new hydraulic oil.
- Replacement of all three hydraulic blocks, all valves, oil sight glass, and all hydraulic hoses of the hydraulic unit.
- Seal kits and hydraulic hoses on all three moving floor hydraulic cylinders replaced.
- All six end switches (proximity sensors) on the moving floor replaced.
- Conveyor chains on the left and right sides of the scraper conveyor replaced.
- Seven carrier strips on the scraper conveyor replaced.
- Drive motor for the bag tearing blades replaced.
- All nine pneumatic cylinders for the pressure pipes replaced. All pneumatic lines and fittings replaced.
- All sliding plastic plates for the hydraulic movement of the bag opener replaced. The bag opener can be retracted for depth adjustment, allowing operation for commercial or residual waste without the use of the bag opener.
- Both sides fitted with new lateral collision protection plates.
- Various wear parts of the bag opener replaced.
- The entire system was completely rewired and electrically connected.
- The control unit in the control cabinet was retrofitted by BRT Hartner to independent single control, and the standard program was reinstalled on the controller.
- The unit was commissioned and tested by BRT Hartner; see the function video.
