Bosch Diffusion Welding Machine
The system described here was designed for the following application:
Diffusion welding machine for producing the connection between anchor lead and commutator for starter rotors by means of diffusion welding.
Diffusion welding unit (also referred to as polymer diffusion welding unit, diffusion welding unit, copper soft welding unit, copper strip welding unit), consisting of the main machine and control system, "PLC control, touchscreen operation".
Process Description
The workpiece carrier enters the station and is lifted.
The alignment gripper picks up the armature from the carrier and aligns it to the welding position.
The loading gripper takes over the armature and inserts it into the welding chuck.
The welding chuck moves the armature into the welding position.
Contacting and welding cylinder advance together and the first weld is performed.
This process repeats until the armature is completely welded.
The welding chuck moves the armature to the transfer position, and the unloading gripper takes the armature and places it on the lifted carrier.
The workpiece carrier is lowered.
Carriers with IO armatures continue on the conveyor system, while NIO armatures are diverted to the removal conveyor.
At one welding machine, IO armatures are marked with color at the front face of the commutator using a stamping station so that, during final inspection, it is possible to identify from which welding machine the armature was manufactured.
