In every calculation concerning business and public operations, waste transport is a key factor. Here, the volume is more significant than the weight. The continuously rising transportation costs for this waste are increasingly becoming an economic issue.

Waste disposal of large quantities of polystyrene or packaging films is particularly important in retail. The VOLUME REDUCER achieves volume reduction by up to 80 percent. Bottles of any type and size, e.g., sparkling wine bottles, can be shredded effortlessly without a pressing device.

It is also possible to unpack expired foods. Furthermore, reject products such as pharmaceuticals, data carriers, or counterfeit goods can be rendered unusable. Food remnants and waste, even bones, can be shredded, collected, and converted into electricity and heat in biogas plants using the VR60.

Consider, for example, a reverse vending machine. PET bottles are compressed and, due to the existing barcode, kept locked until collection.

By using the VOLUME REDUCER, barcodes on PET bottles can be rendered unreadable, thus achieving significant volume reduction. Shredded bottles could then be collected in a large container, eliminating the need for daily pick-ups from return points. The shredder’s vertically moving, wear-free blades ensure quiet and blockage-free processing.
