The HMS01 single-axis inverters are supplied with DC voltage and generate a regulated AC output voltage with variable amplitude and frequency for operating a motor. They have a slot for a control unit with various interfaces for connection to the automation environment, encoder systems, safety technology and other digital and analogue signals, etc. The firmware in the control unit regulates the output voltage. The firmware in the control unit regulates the inverter and implements extensive additional functions. For multi-axis applications, the inverters are supplied with power from the DC link of HMV01 or HMU05 power supply units. Supply from the DC link of an HCS inverter is also possible for smaller axis packages and corresponding power reserve in the HCS.
